Boat Stolen: OPP Seeking Public’s Assistance (photos attached)

Press release – The Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a theft of boat from the Riverest Marina on Wharf Street, L’Orignal.

Officers believe the zodiac style dingy was stolen some time between midnight and 1:00 a.m. on July 7, 2022. The zodiac style dingy is described as a Bris (boat company), approximately 15 feet long, grey and red dingy with a 6hp Yamaha gas motor, see attached photo.

Two male suspects observed on security footage, both Caucasian first suspect was wearing what appeared to be green camouflage pants and an orange hoody and walks with a limp. The other suspect was wearing what appeared to be dark blue pants and a dark black sweater.

Police are asking that if anyone has information regarding this investigation or surveillance footage in the area, that you contact the Hawkesbury OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS) where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000 or you can submit a tip to Crime Stoppers at www.ontariocrimestoppers.ca.
