(Press release) The Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit is continuing to investigate a serious assault with a weapon at a residence on Cartier Blvd. in the Town of Hawkesbury.

On September 6, 2021, at 1:11 p.m., members of the Hawkesbury Detachment responded to a report of an assault were an adult male had been attacked with an edged weapon by an individual who then fled the scene.

The victim, age 17, suffered multiple stab wounds and was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Timothy GREENWOOD, 22 years old, from Hawkesbury was arrested the same day and charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with:

·       Assault with a weapon, section 267(a)

·       Aggravated assault, section 268

GREENWOOD is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in l’Orignal on September 7, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.
