(Press release) The Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating an incident that took place between August 19 and August 20, 2021. Unknown person(s) attended the Cemetery in Treadwell Ontario, where damages were done to some of the headstones.

Police continue their investigation and appreciate the help from the public.

Three arrested in high school mischief case

On Saturday, July 14, 2021, at approximately 12:00 p.m., a Russell County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer responded to a mischief complaint at a high school in Rockland.

Three individuals were recorded on video damaging school property.

On August 2, 2021, the following three individuals were arrested:

Tylor BRENNAN, age 18, from Alfred-Plantagenet Township, Mathieu CLAIROUX, age 21, from Rockland and Zacharie GUY, age 22, from Rockland were charged with:

  • Mischief – destroys or damages property CC 430(1)(a)

The accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal at a later date.

The OPP would like to thank members of the public who actively submitted information, this was instrumental in solving this crime.
